Overview

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this website and the doula services provided by Tanith Forte (ABN: 54300404724) (“the Doula”). By accessing this website or engaging services, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms.

Nature of Services

The Doula provides non-medical emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, labour, birth, and the postpartum period.

The Doula does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or clinical care. The Client remains under the care of their chosen healthcare providers at all times and is responsible for all medical decision-making.

Bookings & Payment

All services require a non-refundable deposit to secure booking.

Payment terms, package inclusions, and schedules are outlined in the Client Service Agreement provided at the time of booking.

Any services outside of selected package inclusions will be charged in accordance with the Additional Services & Fees outlined in the Client Service Agreement.

Cancellations & Refunds

All cancellations, refunds, and related conditions are governed by the Client Service Agreement.

The deposit is strictly non-refundable. Refund eligibility, if any, is limited to the circumstances set out in the Client Service Agreement.

Availability & On-Call Period

On-call availability applies from 37–42 weeks gestation (or as specified in the selected package) and is reserved for labour and urgent support only.

Non-urgent communication is managed during business hours unless otherwise stated.

Backup Doula

In the event the Doula is unavailable due to illness, emergency, or overlapping births, a qualified backup doula may be engaged to ensure continuity of care.

The Client will be introduced to backup doulas during pregnancy where applicable.

Scope of Services

The Doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support only.

The Doula does not:

  • Perform medical procedures or clinical assessments

  • Provide medical advice or prescribe treatment

  • Make decisions on behalf of the Client

The Doula may assist the Client in understanding options and communicating preferences to their care providers. However, all medical communication and decision-making remains the responsibility of the Client.

Limitation of Liability

The Doula does not guarantee any specific birth outcome, duration of labour, or medical intervention.

The Client acknowledges that birth is unpredictable and that all decisions remain the responsibility of the Client in consultation with their healthcare providers.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Doula shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or outcome arising from the provision of services.

Intellectual Property

All materials, resources, and content provided by the Doula remain the intellectual property of Tanith Forte and must not be copied, shared, or distributed without written consent.

Website Use

Users agree not to misuse this website, interfere with its functionality, or use content for unlawful purposes.

Amendments

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this website.
